Advance notice of IT disruption at Sedgemoor District Council
We need to carry out major changes to our Information Technology systems in preparation for our transition into the new Somerset Council in April 2023. This will essentially mean that we will be off-line from 1700 hrs on Thursday, 1st December until 0900 hrs on Monday, 5th December. Our reception in Bridgwater House will remain open and staff will continue working out in the district. However, it does mean that we will not have any access to emails or our computer systems.
If you contact us by email on Friday, 2nd December, we will not be able to get back to you until week commencing 5th December. We are advised that some disruption which may continue into that week.
Our telephone lines will be open, however this will only be for emergencies such as homelessness and housing repairs, as we will not be able to provide our normal range of services.
Our website will be working, but we may not be able to process any transactions such pay council tax payments etc.
Our normal emergency and out of hours arrangements will be in place.
We apologise in advance for this unavoidable disruption.
